Our holiday home over looks a pitch and putt course with a large public park for children to play. Within walking distance there is the JJB Soccer dome and the Ice Dome which has Irelands first Olympic size skating ring providing a fun day out for both children and parents.

Shops are close by and the nearest public house and restaurant is about a 1/2 mile away. Dundalk has many fine restaurants and hotels, the newly built Crown Plaza hotel is only about 3/4 of a mile from Rockfield manor.

Within 5 minute drive:
Within a 5 minute driving distance there is the beautiful seaside village of Blackrock with long sandy beaches, good restaurants, children's amusements and Dundalk golf club. From Rockfield Manor heading for Dundalk town Centre there is the Pirates Den, who operate a children's adventure centre and Aura Leisure Centre, which has a 25 metre pool and a childrens pool.

Heading out one mile north from Dundalk there is the Sports Bowl which has 12 lanes of computerised ten pin bowling. The centre also has tumble towers and a children adventure play area.
 
For a fun night out there is Dundalk grey hound racing stadium which runs races every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. In the same stadium there
is Ireland first all weather horse racing track which incorporates a restaurant and two bars.

Dundalk has a 7 screen cinema, many great bars, nite clubs or if you prefer the live music scene why not visit the Spirit Store which has many popular artists playing. During the day there is many great shops, retail parks and 3 shopping centres to visit, while a trip to the towns museum will show you the history of Dundalk town through the ages.

Within 20 minute drive:
Within a 20 minute drive distance there are many sandy beaches, nine golf courses and numerous historical centres. For horse lovers there is Ravensdale Equestrian centre or for those who prefer 4 wheels try Country Quads which have quad racing archery and clay pigeon shooting.

Carlingford Lough has numerous activity centres and leisure activities, so why not visit Tain adventure centre , Carlingford adventure centre, Carlingford sailing club, Carlingford Marina or just book a fishing trip out in Carlingford Lough and take in the breath taking views of Slieve Foye and the Mourne Mountains.
